Are You Willing To Pay The Price For FREE?-Part 2 -
When we hear a radio advertisement that gives away something FREE we are not interested in, why do we tune them out? (I realize it may look like I'm mind-reading and yet these are the patterns I'm aware of in myself and in others just from the calibration I have done with them. If you respond differently I apologize.) On TV when Mattress Mac (Furniture store here in Houston) offers FREE delivery and no back, back, back orders and that he will SAVE YOU MONEY!, if one is not in the market for furniture the gift of FREE is no longer a gift, it has no value to us. There are numerous ways/techniques to make something valuable, yes even something FREE. You can find them in many of the books in the library. Let me throw out another thought. It's not FREE until it has been experienced. Or a gift is not really a gift until it has been received and experienced. So the question becomes: Are you willing to pay the internal price required to receive a FREE GIFT?When someone offers something (FREE) there are usually steps to follow to get the benefit of what is offered. If you or I don't follow the recommended instructions we do not receive the gift. We may, let me stress we MAY get head knowledge but we will not have experiential knowledge (wisdom-the ability to use knowledge) until we actually put into practice the information we have received. If it is not practical (something you are/have/can experience to get your desired outcome) it is less than useful it might even be useless. What I am saying, to restate it another way, is even something FREE requires that we pay an internal price of acceptance, commitment and exercise to really accept the gift FREELY given. Even a FREE gift is not FREE, it requires acceptance. My main desire is that each one of use began to USE THIS MATERIAL/TECHNOLOGY of POWER THINKING (experience this knowledge by doing the knowledge-wisdom) Thanks for letting me get this off my chest, like you had a choice! Well I guess you could just delete it or throw it in the trashcan! Then it wouldn't be FREE! This article was written because I read the following story that demonstrates Power Thinking: The Wise Woman and The StoneA wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation. The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But a few days later he came back to return the stone to the wise woman. "I've been thinking," he said, "I know how valuable the stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious....Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me the stone." __________________________________________ Power Thinking Concept for this issuePLAYWORK: Play with this Power Thinking Thought Last issue was:How would life be easier if I realize giving and receiving money is humanities powerful thank you? (When you get paid (money) they are saying thank you. When you pay bills (money) you are saying thank you.) This issue:How would life be easier if I realize there is no meaning with out a meaning maker and I am the meaning maker? If I don’t like the meaning how do I change it? (You give the meaning to everything that has meaning in your life. Even if you accept someone else’s meaning it is you that ultimately gives the meaning.) _________________________________________ Until next we meet here. May Power Thinking be you!
