by Dr. Houston Vetter, Peak Performance Expert Issue #10 Quick Quality Info Welcome to the 10th Power Thinking Newsletter from: www.achieve-your-potential.com http://achieve-your-potential.blogspot.com/
--------------------------------------------- Last newsletter we discussed the importance of Calibration over Comparison and the issue before that was on First Things First, Developing a Well-Defined Intention. We started out the articles with: Tools and skills needed to get what you want 1-Well Defined Intention2-Calibration and Congruency3-Removal tools - Circuit Breaking - Energy Tools, etc4-Installation Tools- Four Waves, Silva, HPE, etc. The rules you follow are determined by the tools you use. Well here we have, the four point outline, the map, the menu, the four things that we MUST do to get whatever it is that we want. Leave one out and we go without. Remember all four of these steps of the process are going on at the same time, kind of like a circle. We are already doing these things because whatever we are getting involves these four pieces or the lack of ONE or more. So far we have covered the Well Defined Intention WDI, and Calibration this issue we want to address Congruency. It is the "Iron Fist in the Velvet Glove". I have addressed it in past issues and the free 6 lessons on “The Power of 3, How the Mind Works!” Congruency simple means everything working together, all going in the same direction, when something is lined up or in alignment. The 6 FREE lessons on how the mind works is designed to give a model that when applied would create congruency. What is important about Congruency? I’m glad you asked. Congruency determines how hard or how easy some thing is to accomplish. Think of Congruency in the form of a continuum. On one side or end of the continuum you have incongruent and on the other end you have congruency. Depending where on the continuum you are in regards to your Intention determines how easily or how hard it is to get your Intended Outcome. So you can use the iron fist in the velvet glove, one of the steps or part of the formula to ‘being’ congruent is having developed your ‘WDI’. The next part of your strategy is calibration so you know the relationship of where you are in contrast to where you say you want to be verses where you have been.
Congruency (the iron fist in the velvet glove) involves having your thoughts, words, and actions lining up, all going in the direction that you choose. That is why the fields of NLP, DHE, HPE, NS have always been areas of recommended study because these fields deal with you having the power over your life. Since the field of ‘how linguistics affect neurology’ (neurology is what moves us to action) is built from many different disciplines, from General Semantics to Hypnosis, to Family Therapy, to kinesiology and on and on, It has been a large part of Accelerated Success Strategies, Inc. It has always been the study of “How things work” and that has been very useful in getting what you want and after you get what you want you can come up with “WHY”.
