Health and Wellness
In the Workplace

Physical health and wellness in the workplace is important, of course, but even more important, because everything else depends upon it, is the mental and emotional health and wellness of each and every employee.

Many companies offer discounts on gym or workout studios. Some even have in-house workout areas. Pretty much every company encourages their employees to stay fit and healthy or they at least give lip-service to the notion, and yet the same problems still exist for companies.

The more aware companies already realize that physical fitness is secondary to the mental/emotional fitness of its employees, because the mental and emotional toll shows up way before the physical symptoms. However, many companies are not aware of how costly it is, or they simply think there is not much they can do.

A few companies are starting to realize that the pressures of work and home are creating stresses on their employees that are costing them money and a lot of it. As time goes by, more and more companies will be looking for solutions to get rid of all this mental and emotional pressure that is hurting the most valuable asset they have . . . their employees . . and, of course, costing them untold amounts of money.

What these companies will be looking for:

  • Ways to remove employee stress
  • Ways to sharpen employee focus
  • Ways to increase thinking flexibility
  • Ways to increase productivity without burnout
  • Ways to improve company moral
  • Ways to decrease sick leave
  • Etc . . .

But wait a minute!

That's what companies have been looking for in a health and wellness program all along.

You see, exercise is a good way to relieve stress, but less-than-useful thinking is what produced the stress in the first place. Stress shows up in the body because of a build up of negative personal judgments we make when things don't go our way throughout the day.

With proper mental/emotional exercises, which we can do at our desk, all of the above listed items companies are looking for can be achieved.

Fortunately, there are a few simple techniques in the Mind Sciences field that when combined with some techniques from the Energy Medicine/Psychology field make all the difference in achieving and improving mental and emotional health and wellness in the workplace.
